What to do?
March 17, 2008
All of us in some point or another has to either lead others or lead with someone. You might think you don’t but if you are in a relationship with someone (and everyone is unless you live on a deserted island) then you have to learn to tango.
In all relationships, projects, organizations and more you have to know a couple things as you move forward.
- First of all you don’t want to rock the boat. Eventually it will get rocked and it will test what you are made out of but you don’t have to go and rock it just for kicks.
- Second, it’s important that you consider the virtue of perseverance. If you want to do anything in life, most things worth fighting for take time and effort.
- Third, there will be times when you need to change course. There will be moments when what you’ve been doing just doesn’t work anymore and you have to take your game to the next level. If in middle school you where able to excel with barely doing any homework then take it up as you go into high school and aim for a spot among the cum lade crew.
- Finally, there are times when you have to pick your own self up from your boot straps, dust yourself off and move on. Jesus and Paul both did this. There are times when you’ve poured into, have sown, have watered, have fed and have done everything you can and you just have to move on and sow somewhere else.
Where are you? Have you ever given up on anyone? Has someone given up on you? Why?
What do you need to leave behind and what do you need to keep pursuing ?
Do you give up easily when things get a little hard?
Do you confront or run away from hard situations?
Do you ever try new ways to solve old problems?
