As you know, next year i will be going to Costa Rica and sadly, i will be passing the baton of leadership to a new generation of leaders. This is sad for me but it is a good thing for the Kingdom. I feel so proud of the young men who will be leading the charge next year and i am also proud to say that we have one more person joining the Leadership Team and IT’S A FEMALE!!! Praise the Lord, but we need more females to stand up and take up their cross and serve in the Body of the Christ. If you are especially in high school or college (in Houston), this call is especially for YOU!!! Take hold of what is yours…. The only accomplishment worth anything in this life is lives changed through Christ Jesus. Everything else serves that purpose of Lives Transformed!!!!
Blessing to you!!!
On another front… I’m almost done with money collecting and i want to THANK those of you who have given sacrificially! I am excited to change your dollars into lives changed, into building that serve the Cause of Christ and into Kingdom building experiences!!! May the Lord bless you!!!

There are many times when we have to choose between what we want and what is necessary. This is a trait that in our American culture is not easy. We have a social mentality that we will have what we need and we deserve what we want… that’s why so many people are under the yoke of the almighty Visa and American Express and why so many others labor endlessly to no end.
Paul writes that for him, if he lives it is a good thing because he then get’s to do God’s work and if he dies it’s good also because he will be next to his Lord Jesus Christ. He then admits that he preferes to be with the Lord but he knows that it is best that he remain in a place where he can be fruitful.
When it comes to choosing what you want and what is best, how do you do it? Paul said, “I desire to depart to be with CHrist” but then goes on to declare “it is more necesary for you that i remain”.
Are you choosing the greater good of others or for yourself?
Yes, and I will continue to rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help given by the Spirit of Jesus Christ, what has happened to me will turn out for my deliverance. I eagerly expect and hope that I will in no way be ashamed, but will have sufficient courage so that now as always Christ will be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body.

When satan fell from God’s grace there was no rescue mission but when man fell a rescue plan was set in motion…
Genesis 3:15
The most honest of friendship and most authentic fellowship is to die for. “There is no greater love than to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” You have “friends”. Would you die for them? This and nothing short of it is the kind of Love God desires for those who love Him and know Him. And he showed us by example.
Isaiah 49:15-16 (a mothers unending love and how it shoes us God): A mother’s unending love is irrational. Though she may need rest or her child may be rejected by the outside world, she stands by and defends, protects and loves her child. This is perhaps the closes images of God’s love we have. Interestingly, the “shekinah” God or the presense of God or the God who dwells within, is the only Hebrew word that referes to God with a feminine tense.
