In all things God is working to mold us and make us more like Him and to show us His love… asif He has not shown it enough already.
I’m sure anyone reading this lost their electricity and everyone dealt with the situation differently. Some really suffered and had a hard time adapting while others just dealt with it. Regardless of how you deal with trying moments in life they all serve to draw us to the cross. It’s God saying… “I am here and I want to be so involved in your life… just call” The Bible says…
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him” (romans 8:28)
My family and I where without electricity for 7 days and once we did get power i started to reflect on the loss we suffered and I realized i had gained more than i had lost although we are so used to what we know even if another way is more beneficial
One of my favorite quotes from a song by a band called Jars of Clay says… “I’d rather feel the pain all too familiar than be broken by a lover i don’t understand.”

1 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us.
2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
3 Think of all the hostility he endured from sinful people; then you won’t become weary and give up.
